Mazak hain yeh desh

Mazak hain yeh desh
Is desh main sirf paisa bolta hain ;
Jiske jeb main karara note nahi, woh gunga kehlata hain.

Mazak hain yeh desh,
Is desh main garib amir k liye dua mangta hain,
Aur Jo garib nahi – woh garib ki fikra karta hain.

Uska nach, uska gana dekhkar tum ho gaye deewane,
Insaf ke tarazu par gaye apni Jan lagane,
Uski kala toh itni apram par hain, judge sahab bhi bhul gaye apna gyan hain!

Mazak hain yeh desh,
Kal mere bacche par chala dega agar koi gadi;
Agar woh paise ka saudagar nikala toh na kabhi milegi mujhe meri jan na mujhe milega insaf.

Mazak hain yeh desh,
Mazak hain yeh desh,
Mazak hain yeh desh.

And those who are not poor worry for the ones who are.

His dance, his songs made you his fans
You even went to give your life at the scale of law,

and if he turns out to be rich,
I’ll neither get my child nor my justice.

This country is a joke,
This country is a joke,
This country is a joke.
